The Ram 1500 has been a top-selling pickup truck for years, thanks to its capable performance, towing and hauling capabilities, and comfortable interior. For 2026, the Ram 1500 gets a number of updates compared to the 2025 model. Let's take a closer look at our new Ram 1500 truck inventory to see what's different between the 2026 and 2025 Ram 1500 trucks.
What's New for 2026?
The 2026 Ram 1500 features several improvements over the 2025 model. Stellantis reports that so many customers complained about dropping the Hemi® from the 2025 Ram 1500 that it’s making a return for 2026. The 5.7-liter Hemi® V-8 still generates 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, the same output as before, although towing capacity is lower. A new Express trim features unique styling elements like blacked-out headlamp bezels and dark gray interior trim. It's available for Akron, OH buyers with rear- or four-wheel drive and is offered in either a Quad or Crew Cab body style.
Performance
The 2026 Ram 1500 offers Louisville, OH drivers several powerful engine options. The standard 3.6-liter V6 is assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system and develops 305 horsepower. As noted earlier, the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 has been restored for 2025, delivering strong performance for tackling tough jobs. An eTorque mild hybrid system remains available on both engines for improved fuel economy. The twin-turbo inline-six, which Ram refers to as the Hurricane, can generate either 420 or 540 horsepower.
Towing and Hauling
The Ram 1500 has a couple of options when it comes to towing and hauling capabilities. When properly equipped, the 2026 Ram 1500 can tow up to 11,580 pounds and haul up to 2,300 pounds depending on the engine and configuration. With the Hemi® V-8, the Ram 1500’s towing capacity is now lower, coming in at 11,470 pounds. That's less than Ford and Chevy, but more than enough for most Canton, OH truck owners' needs.
Interior
Inside, the 2026 Ram 1500 features one of the nicest cabins in the segment with premium materials, intuitive controls, and plenty of space for passengers and gear. Higher trims make the Ram 1500 feel more like a luxury car than a pickup, especially in the Tungsten flagship trim. The Uconnect®5 infotainment system with a 12.0-inch touchscreen is the standard offering an an optional 14.5-inch display is available.
Exterior Bed Features
The 2026 Ram 1500 offers innovative storage and cargo management solutions to make the most of its spacious bed. The available RamBox™ bedside storage compartments are a class-exclusive feature that provide a secure, weatherproof place to store tools and gear. The multifunction tailgate gives you multiple ways to access the bed, with 60/40 split swing-away doors in addition to the traditional drop-down tailgate. Kent, OH truck drivers who frequently haul a variety of cargo will appreciate the flexibility and versatility of the Ram 1500's bed.
Technology
On the technology front, the 2026 Ram 1500 includes a number of connectivity features. The Uconnect®5 system comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for seamless smartphone integration. Even the larger 14.5-inch touchscreen includes a handful of redundant knobs and buttons, to make the system easier to operate. A 10.3-inch passenger display is also an available option for Cuyahoga Falls, OH buyers and provides access to entertainment and navigation functions.
