Progressive Jeep Employees Support Akron Children’s Hospital
Progressive Civic Fund Highlights
As part of the 2021 Progressive Auto Group Civic Fund, our employees donated $2,750 to Akron Children’s Hospital and more than $53,000 overall to local non-profits. Employees at Progressive Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM and the rest of Progressive Auto Group made generous contributions to Refuge of Hope, Stark County Hunger Task Force, and more.
Akron Children’s Hospital has been providing world-class care for children and families for more than 130 years. Donations support the life-changing work they do on a daily basis. Last year, they helped 100,000 children through their new accountable care organization, provided health care in school-based health centers, administered more than 85,000 COVID-19 vaccines, participated in the Ohio Zero Suicide Pediatric Initiative, and saw more than 1.2 million outpatient visits and 9,000 inpatient admissions.
Through the Progressive Employee Civic Fund, our staff has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to area community groups and nonprofits since the 1950s, when the fund began. In just the last 10 years, the Fund distributed nearly half a million dollars in donations to groups in Massillon, Akron, Canton, and beyond.
As a group, we couldn’t do it without our customers. Every vehicle you buy, service or repair at Progressive creates an opportunity for our employees to earmark funds for good causes. Thanks to you, we’re able to work together to make our community a better place.
