Civic Fund Highlights: Boys & Girls Club
A charitable donation from Progressive Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM employees is helping to give local children a safe place where they can learn, play and just be a kid.
In 2021, our team donated $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Club through Progressive Auto Group’s Employee Civic Fund. The fund collects money and distributes it to local organizations and charities that strengthen and support our community. The donation was among the $53,450 that the Employee Civic Fund contributed to more than 20 community groups that year.
At the Boys & Girls Club, we know local children and teens will have a welcoming and inclusive place to thrive and reach their full potential.
Since 1860, Boys & Girls Clubs have been giving kids a safe place where they can learn, play and explore their interests. Boys & Girls Clubs offer children and teens a variety of programs, including sports and recreation, education, the arts, health and wellness, workforce readiness and character and leadership.
Boys & Girls Clubs also have caring staff and volunteers who are trained to mentor and guide young people.
That’s the kind of mission Progressive Auto Group workers can get behind.
Since 1950, when Progressive Chevrolet founder J.S. “Sandy” Sanders started the Employee Civic Fund, we’ve collected and donated money to support local charities and organizations that are important to our team.
As Progressive Auto Group has grown, so has the reach of the Employee Civic Fund. Today, the fund includes Progressive Chevrolet, Progressive Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, Economy Auto Outlet and Star Wash.
Our customers play a part, too. Every time you buy, service or repair a vehicle at Progressive Auto Group, a portion of what you pay goes to support these charities. In the past 10 years, our Employee Civic Fund has donated almost half a million dollars to community groups in Canton, Massillon, Akron and surrounding communities.
Thank you for helping us make our community stronger.
