Progressive Civic Fund Highlights
Last year, Progressive Jeep employees donated $2,000 to The Salvation Army as part of our 2021 Progressive Auto Group Civic Fund. Overall, Progressive employees donated more than $53,000 to local non-profits, including the Epilepsy Foundation, Akron Children’s Hospital, Hammer and Nails, United Way and more.
Watch our tour of The Salvation Army Massillon Corps. with Capt. Allison Hinzman, who shared all the good they do for our community.
As an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church, The Salvation Army meets local needs through programs designed to benefit the community. Their services include food pantries, disaster relief, holiday giving, veteran services, spiritual healing, after-school programs, and much more.
The Salvation Army Massillon Corps provides hot meal programs and food pantries, activities and basic needs help for seniors, youth programs, adopt-a-family Christmas program, and more for those in need in the Canton-Massillon area.
Through the Progressive Employee Civic Fund, our staff has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to area community groups and nonprofits since the 1950s, when the fund began. In just the last 10 years, the Fund distributed nearly half a million dollars in donations to groups in Massillon, Akron, Canton, and beyond.
As a group, we couldn’t do it without our customers. Every vehicle you buy, service or repair at Progressive creates an opportunity for our employees to earmark funds for good causes. Thanks to you, we’re able to work together to make our community a better place.
